BOYNEXTDOOR showed off their fresh visuals like ‘boys next door’.
BOYNEXTDOOR (Sungho, Liu, Myungjaehyun, TaeSan, Leehan, Unhak) uploaded a concept film for the “SYOUYO” version of their Japanese debut single “AND,” on Hive Labels’ official YouTube channel at 6pm on the 14th.
The film, which features lyrical background music, shows BOYNEXTDOOR enjoying a peaceful moment. The members’ innocent smiles and warm demeanour evoke a memory manipulation that triggers the excitement of first love. Previously, KOZ Entertainment introduced the “SYOUYO” (逍?) version of the new track as “a concept that captures the everyday moments of BOYNEXTDOOR, who are walking around the streets with their friends without a destination and telling their stories.
BOYNEXTDOOR’s Japanese debut single “AND,” will be released on 10 July. The new album will feature four tracks, including Japanese versions of the Korean album’s title track, “One and Only” (debut single “WHO!”), “What is it like” (mini album “WHY..”), and “Earth, Wind & Fire” (mini album “HOW?”), as well as Japanese originals.
BOYNEXTDOOR’s mini 2 album “HOW?”, which was released in Korea last month, has been a huge hit not only in Korea but also in Japan, so local expectations for the new album are soaring. With “HOW?”, the group sold nearly twice as much as its predecessor (in the first week of release) and topped the Oricon Weekly Album Rankings and Weekly Combined Album Rankings in Japan (15-21 April). It also topped Billboard Japan’s Hot Albums chart for the same period, and spent five days (17-21 April) at the top of Line Music’s Top 100 Daily Albums in Japan.
Following their Japanese debut, BOYNEXTDOOR will participate in Japan’s largest music festival, SUMMER SONIC 2024, which will take place on 18 August at Tokyo’s JoJo Marine Stadium and Makuhari Messe.
