BTS member Jin is gearing up for his solo comeback. Last month, on the 12th, Jin was discharged from the military as a sergeant from the 5th Infantry Division in Yeoncheon County, Gyeonggi Province. Being the eldest member of BTS and the first to enlist, Jin’s discharge marks the end of his military service, hinting at the approaching end of BTS’s military hiatus. Notably, RM, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook, except for Suga who is currently serving as a public service worker, attended Jin’s discharge ceremony, adding a warm touch to the occasion.

Jin, whose real name is Kim Seok-jin, debuted as a member of BTS in 2013 and has since garnered worldwide love for his stunning visuals and charming vocals. As the sub-vocalist of the group, Jin has contributed to many hit songs with his clear and warm voice. Known for his humorous and friendly personality, he has earned the nickname ‘Worldwide Handsome’ among fans and enjoys immense popularity.

Upon Jin’s discharge, the industry quickly speculated that he would release a solo album by the end of this year. Although BigHit Music has not made an official announcement yet, it is believed that Jin’s solo comeback is the most likely move to fill the void during BTS’s hiatus.

Subsequently, Jin confirmed his imminent solo comeback through the fan community platform Weverse. On the 30th of last month, when a fan asked, “What are you doing these days?” Jin responded, “I’m recording and filming variety shows, steadily progressing with plans made in the military. I’ll try to appear as much as possible while working on my main job. The results will be out in a few months, so please wait a little longer.”

Additionally, Jin mentioned the release timing of his solo song ‘Super Tuna,’ stating, “I decided to hold off out of courtesy because Jimin’s album is coming out.” Jin also inquired about the well-being of J-Hope, who is currently a sergeant and is set to be discharged in October. He said, “Hey Hobi, not much time left. You should work hard when you get out too. I rested for just one day after my discharge,” eliciting laughter.

Moreover, when a fan expressed a desire to see him as an actor, Jin replied, “I have no plans to act. Sorry,” indicating his dedication solely to his music career.
