BTS Jungkook’s ‘Yes or No’ surpasses 150 million streams on Spotify
BTS Jungkook’s “Yes or No” continues to soar to new heights of global popularity on Spotify.
“Yes or No,” from Jungkook’s first solo album GOLDEN, released last November, recently surpassed 150 million streams on Spotify, the world’s largest music streaming platform.
‘Yes or No’ is the fourth most streamed song on the 11-track ‘GOLDEN’ album, and is a favourite with listeners around the world, demonstrating the power of music on Spotify without any promotion.
Jungkook sings the lyrics about a protagonist in love making a straightforward confession to his partner in a sweet voice, delicately expressing the emotions of nervousness and curiosity to find out if he loves me, which excites listeners.
Jungkook added his unique pop vocals and rhythmic groove, captivating listeners’ ears and showing his presence as a ‘trusted vocal king’.
‘Yes or No’ was also written and composed by global pop singer Ed Sheeran.
Of the GOLDEN album tracks, “Seven” has sold 1.6 billion, “Standing Next to You” has sold 600 million, “3D” has sold 530 million, “Please Don’t Change” has sold 100 million, and “Hate You” has sold 97 million, “Closer to You” with 83 million, “Somebody” with 78 million, “Shot Glass of Tears” with 73 million and “Too Sad To Dance” with over 73 million streams.
GOLDEN is the first and only Asian solo artist album ever to reach 3.4 billion streams on Spotify and the fastest studio album by an Asian artist to reach 3.4 billion streams.
Jungkook’s personal Spotify account (profile) has over 5.7 billion combined streams across all credits, demonstrating his strong presence as a solo artist on the platform.
