ENHYPEN Expands Their Spectrum with Their Second Full Album ‘ROMANCE: UNTOLD’
ENHYPEN is back, this time taking on the screen. Partnering with director Lee Choong-hyun, the group presents a visually stunning cinematic experience as part of their new journey. The premiere event for their second full album, ‘ROMANCE: UNTOLD,’ was held on June 22 at Megabox COEX in Gangnam, Seoul, unveiling their ambitious new project.
Jake expressed his excitement, saying, “We’ve tried many new things for this comeback, including the concept cinema you saw today. We’re really looking forward to this album.”
For this comeback, ENHYPEN challenged themselves with acting and action scenes. Sunghoon shared his experience, stating, “Filming a movie for the first time was challenging. I prepared by practicing acting and immersing myself in the scenarios.” Ni-ki added, “Using wire action for the first time was very difficult, but with the director’s guidance, we achieved great results.”
The album ‘ROMANCE: UNTOLD’ tells the story of a vampire and a human named Chloe. The vampire boys risk everything to protect Chloe, emphasizing themes of love and devotion. Heeseung explained, “Both albums deeply explore the theme of love.” Jay further highlighted, “One of the key themes we wanted to emphasize was devotion.”
Director Lee Choong-hyun elaborated on the creative process, saying, “The ENHYPEN members had a clear worldview and concept, which helped in crafting the story. We created a unique setting with a vampire eradication operation to deliver a dark noir-style video.”
Regarding ENHYPEN’s action scenes, director Lee praised, “We prepared with a martial arts director, and the members handled their physical roles impressively well.”
Finally, Jay expressed his aspirations, “We prepared this second full album with the determination to create an important turning point. We aim to make content that our fans will love and enjoy.”
ENHYPEN’s second full album ‘ROMANCE: UNTOLD’ is set to be released worldwide on July 12. Through this album, ENHYPEN is poised to broaden their spectrum and continue their journey of new challenges, promising fans a fresh and exciting experience.
