‘Hierarchy’ Tops Netflix Non-English Series Chart
The high-teen drama ‘Hierarchy,’ featuring a cast of rising stars, has become the most-watched non-English series on Netflix globally.
According to Netflix on the 19th, ‘Hierarchy’ recorded 6.3 million views (calculated by dividing the total watch time by the run time) from June 10 to 16, securing the number one spot in the non-English TV series category.
The series ranked in the top 10 in 72 countries, taking the number one position in South Korea, Taiwan, Indonesia, Hong Kong, and the Philippines.
‘Hierarchy’ follows the story of a transfer student who, harboring a secret, enters Jushin High School, where the top 0.01% rule as both order and law. The student disrupts their rigid world, causing significant upheaval. The series stars new actors No Jeong-eui, Kim Jae-won, Lee Chae-min, Ji Hye-won, and Lee Won-jung.
Additionally, JTBC’s drama ‘I’m Not a Hero, But’ recorded 1.7 million views in one week, placing it third and maintaining a spot in the top 10 for six consecutive weeks. ‘The Eight Show’ garnered 900,000 views, ranking sixth and staying in the top 10 for five weeks.
tvN’s ‘Queen of Tears’ secured the eighth position with 700,000 views this week, holding its place in the top 10 for 15 weeks.
