ILLIT charted on US Billboard for 7 consecutive weeks.
Girl group ILLIT ( YoonA Minju Mocha Wonhee Iroha) is enjoying a ‘long-running popularity’ on global music charts.
According to the latest charts (dated 18 May) released by Billboard in the U.S. on Thursday (May 14), ILLIT’s mini album “SUPER REAL ME” title track “Magnetic” has charted for seven consecutive weeks at No. 7 and No. 16 on the Global (excluding U.S.) and Global 200, respectively.
“Magnetic” previously made K-pop history by entering the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 91 on 20 April, 21 days after its debut. The song’s follow-up, “SUPER REAL ME,” also entered the Billboard 200 at No. 93 (11 May).
ILLIT’s meteoric rise can also be seen on the major Korean music charts. “Magnetic” topped three of Circle Chart’s monthly charts in April (Global K-Pop, Digital, and Streaming), while the follow-up track “Lucky Girl Syndrome” is also showing its popularity by charting on the Melon, Bucks, and Genie Top 100.
Meanwhile, ILLIT’s ‘Magnetic’ is a song that compares the heart to a magnet, running full speed towards the person you like. ‘Lucky Girl Syndrome’ is a song about ILLIT’s moments when she feels the smallest happiness in her life and thinks, “I’m the luckiest person in the world.”
