LE SSERAFIM Overcomes Vocal Criticism with Dazzling Performance at Weverse Con Festival
LE SSERAFIM, the popular K-pop group, successfully tackled vocal criticism head-on by delivering a captivating performance on the first day of the 2024 Weverse Con Festival. The group performed six songs on June 15 at the Inspire Entertainment Resort in Incheon, mesmerizing the audience with their stage presence.
The group boldly took the stage with handheld microphones, addressing the live singing controversy. They kicked off their set with “EASY,” followed by a parade of their hit songs, featuring specially prepared choreography and arrangements that heightened the atmosphere.
One of the highlights was their performance of “UNFORGIVEN (feat. Nile Rodgers),” where the members executed a challenging dance break, bending at 90 degrees, showcasing their stability and skill. They also reenergized the crowd with newly arranged versions of “Eve, Psyche &the Bluebeard’s wife” and a rock version of “No Celestial.” During “Perfect Night,” the members interacted closely with the audience, making eye contact and waving, creating an intimate connection.
Towards the end of the performance, LE SSERAFIM expressed their gratitude, saying, “We can see your faces clearly. It feels great to see you genuinely enjoying yourselves. We promise to come back with even better performances.” They concluded their set with a festival house remix version of “Smart.”
Earlier in April, LE SSERAFIM made headlines by performing at Coachella, America’s largest music festival, becoming the fastest K-pop group to grace the Coachella stage. However, this performance also sparked vocal criticism.
In addition, LE SSERAFIM is set to meet their Japanese fans for the first time since their debut. They will hold fan meetings in Hyogo (June 29-30), Aichi (July 6-7), Kanagawa (July 13-15), and Fukuoka (July 30-31), with a total of nine shows across four regions.
