‘NEWJEANS Mom’ Min Hee-jin Holds Urgent Press Conference Today (31st) Regarding Dismissal of Two Close Associates
HYBE convened an extraordinary shareholders’ meeting to dismiss two internal directors close to Min Hee-jin, head of their subsidiary label ADOR. In response, Min Hee-jin will hold another urgent press conference.
At the extraordinary shareholders’ meeting held on the 31st, the appointment of Kim Joo-young (CHRO), Lee Jae-sang (CSO), and Lee Kyung-joon (CFO) as internal directors, recommended by HYBE, was approved. The dismissal of two existing ADOR internal directors, who were close associates of Min Hee-jin, was also passed.
However, Min Hee-jin managed to retain her position after the court accepted her injunction to prohibit the exercise of voting rights the previous day, preventing HYBE from voting in favor of the ‘dismissal of internal director Min Hee-jin.’ As a result, the ADOR board of directors has shifted to a 1:3 ratio in favor of HYBE.
Following the extraordinary shareholders’ meeting, Min Hee-jin moved swiftly. She announced an urgent press conference for the afternoon of the 31st. Through a media notice, it was conveyed that “Min Hee-jin, CEO of ADOR, will hold a press conference to explain her position regarding the extraordinary shareholders’ meeting.”
This marks the first time in about a month that Min Hee-jin will be holding a press conference since the highly publicized one on the 25th of last month. The public eagerly awaits to hear what stance she will take in this upcoming conference. In her previous press conference, Min Hee-jin gained attention for directly criticizing HYBE over a long period.
