Girl group NewJeans has landed high on the US Billboard charts with their new song ‘How Sweet.’ Composed of members Minji, Hani, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein, NewJeans continues to capture the global music market with this achievement.
On June 3rd (local time), Billboard announced parts of the latest chart (dated June 8) through their website and social media. According to the released data, NewJeans’ double single ‘How Sweet’ and its title track ‘How Sweet’ ranked 7th on the Global (excluding the US) chart. Billboard reported that “‘How Sweet’ garnered 42.8 million streams and over 5,000 downloads in one week,” marking “NewJeans’ fifth Top 10 entry on the Global (excluding the US) chart.”
‘Bubble Gum’ Surprises Everyone!
Additionally, the single’s B-side track ‘Bubble Gum’ ranked 18th on the same chart. This track recorded 25 million streams and over 4,000 downloads. ‘Bubble Gum’ was initially released with a music video on April 27 and entered the Global (excluding the US) chart at No. 166 on May 11, even before the official release of the track. This feat was achieved solely through the music video.
