SEVENTEEN has added another 200 million-view music video.
According to Pledis Entertainment, SEVENTEEN reached 200 million views on YouTube for their music video “Son Goku” at 2:17 a.m. on March 3.
This is the group’s second 200 million views. Previously, the group surpassed 200 million views with “I Don’t Want to Cry. That took 1,464 days, but “Goku” reached the same milestone in 376 days.
This song is one of the double title tracks of the mini 10th album ‘FML’. The song is inspired by Goku, who continues to evolve despite trials and setbacks.
The song was especially popular for its mega crew performance. Over 200 dancers appeared in the music video. The blockbuster military dance captivated global fans.
Not only the music video, but also the music has been running for a long time. On the 1st of this month, “Son Goku” reached 200 million cumulative streams on Spotify, the world’s largest music platform.
Even though it’s been more than a year since its release, “Son Goku” is still on the daily charts of Korean music sites such as Melon, Genie, Flo, and Naver Vibe.
Meanwhile, SEVENTEEN recently released their best album, “17 IS RIGHT HERE,” which features four new songs alongside their previous hits. It includes their existing hits and four new songs.
The title track “MAESTRO” topped the iTunes Top Songs chart in 32 countries/regions around the world. It debuted at #1 on the Worldwide Songs chart.
The unit’s new songs “LALALI,” “Spell,” and “Youth Ode” have also been successful in entering major K-pop charts. All of the songs are loved evenly.
