TXT’s Beomgyu Suffers Ankle Injury, To Miss Paris Fashion Week
Beomgyu, a member of the group TOMORROW X TOGETHER (TXT), will be unable to attend some scheduled events due to an ankle injury.
On June 19, Big Hit Music, the group’s agency, announced through their official channels, “Beomgyu recently visited the hospital due to an injury sustained during his schedule and was diagnosed with an ankle ligament sprain.”
The agency stated, “According to medical advice, Beomgyu needs sufficient rest for the time being. Therefore, he will not be able to participate in some official activities, including Paris Fashion Week. While the artist is eager to fulfill all scheduled commitments, we prioritize his recovery and will adjust his schedule accordingly.”
They further added, “We will do our best to ensure Beomgyu recovers quickly and can meet fans in good health.”
As a result, TXT will depart for Paris on the morning of the announcement with only four members: Soobin, Yeonjun, Taehyun, and Hueningkai. They will attend Dior’s Men’s Summer 25 Collection show in Paris.
Meanwhile, TXT’s mini-album ‘minisode 3: TOMORROW,’ released in April, topped various music charts domestically and internationally. It debuted at number three on the US Billboard 200, receiving significant acclaim.
According to the latest chart released by Billboard on June 18 (for the week of June 22), TXT ranked 59th on the ‘Artist 100’ chart, marking their 78th week on the chart. This achievement makes TXT the only fourth-generation K-pop artist to stay on the ‘Artist 100’ chart for over 70 weeks, breaking their own record.
TXT is set to release a Japanese single, ‘CHIKAI,’ on July 3. Following this, they will kick off their first Japanese dome tour, ‘TOMORROW X TOGETHER WORLD TOUR IN JAPAN,’ with performances at Tokyo Dome on July 10-11. The tour will continue at Kyocera Dome Osaka, Vantelin Dome Nagoya, and Fukuoka PayPay Dome.
